Holly Golightly

Creamy gerbera flowers processed to display the effects of three textures. I thought I may as well show how I created the cover of the Holly Golightly Collection. It was a quick edit, completed this morning before work, so I could post the cover.

Bird on a Wire

Category: Texture Recipe

Before and after processing with texture overlays.
I was so thrilled to photograph this little Singing Honeyeater bird, just outside my house, but I wanted a softer lighter image. In Photoshop I set the layer mode to screen & repeated the process until the desired 'bleaching' was reached. Then I applied two of my textures: Hippy Chick & Purple Bokeh (transformed from purple to green & yellow).

I really like the alternate slideshow views of this shot - nice light and interesting colours, and the timing of the capture is nice too... The little critter looks very focused with it's wings rigid and it's feathers fluffed like it's ready for business...

Delicate Petals

Category: Texture Recipe

Before and after processing with texture overlays.
These ranunculi are beautifully soft & delicate. The original image was processed in Lightroom to subdue the vibrant petal colours. Then, in Photoshop, textures were layered to add subtle highlights and variations to the coloured background of blurred petals, while brightening the image.
