Nourlangie Rock & Anbangbang Billabong

Day 5: We arrived at Nourlangie Rock (Burrungui) shortly after it opened at 08.30am. It was already quite hot and so we took refuge in the cool breezes flowing through a cave that was an ancient Aboriginal shelter.
Nourlangie Rock Then we drove to the nearby Anbangbang Billabong, where we were advised that the walk was closed because feral pigs had been sighted in the area. We saw a flock of little corellas playing in the shallow water, and egrets, straw-necked ibis, and magpie geese. Little Corellas, Straw Necked Ibis, Magpie Goose on Anbangbang Billabong
